Our Evacuation Chair Train the Trainer course equips participants with the skills to correctly use an evacuation chair and confidently pass that knowledge on to others in their organisation.
An evacuation chair is designed to safely transport a person with a mobility impairment down from an upper floor when the lifts are out of action — whether due to a power failure or a building fire.
On successful completion of the course, delegates will be fully equipped to train other staff members to become competent evacuation chair operators, without putting their own health and safety at risk. To stay compliant and keep your team’s skills sharp, this training should be refreshed every two years.

  • Certification: A 2-year accreditation, affirming their proficiency.

Shipping Policy

Delivery Charges

Delivery for Evacuation Chairs, Mats and Sheets is free to anywhere within mainland UK. All prices are inclusive of VAT. If you’re located outside mainland UK and would like to place an order, please call us on 01423 601005 and we’ll be happy to help.

Placing Your Order

A binding contract is formed once we confirm your order in writing by email. We reserve the right to decline an order before confirmation, in which case any payment taken will be refunded in full. Full payment is required at the time of purchase unless a credit account has been agreed with us in writing. We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors prior to confirming your order.

Special Delivery Instructions

You’re welcome to provide special delivery instructions when placing your order. Please be aware that EverSafe Training Ltd cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage resulting from parcels left in a location at your specific request.

Delivery Times

We aim to dispatch stocked items within 3–5 working days. Please note that delivery timescales are estimates and do not form part of your contract with us.

  • The cut-off time for pallet deliveries is 1:00pm.
  • Standard delivery typically takes 3–7 working days.
  • If an item is out of stock, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
  • Customers in remote or hard-to-access locations should be aware that delivery times may be extended. If you’d like to check availability before placing an order, please call us on 01423 601005.

While we always aim to meet our stated delivery times, we’re unable to offer compensation for delays caused by couriers or circumstances beyond our control.

If a delivery is attempted when no one is available to receive the goods, the driver will leave a card with your local depot’s details. Should an item be returned to us following failed delivery attempts, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee for re-delivery.

Ownership & Risk

Risk in goods passes to you upon delivery. Ownership of goods passes to you once we have received cleared payment in full.

Transport Damage

Please inspect your delivery carefully before signing for it. Any visible damage to the packaging must be noted on both your copy and the carrier’s copy of the delivery note — damaged items may be refused at the point of delivery.

If damage is discovered after the carrier has left, please notify us straight away. Claims reported on the day of delivery will still be accepted. Failure to report damage promptly may affect your eligibility for a replacement or refund.

Any discrepancies in quantities or items supplied must be reported within 5 working days of delivery. We may be unable to accept liability for missing items if issues are not raised within this timeframe.

Liability

EverSafe Training Ltd’s liability to you will not exceed the total value of the order in question. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of business arising from the use of our products or services. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Returns Policy

You may cancel your order (or part of it) for any reason before delivery or within 30 days of receiving your order, subject to the conditions outlined below.

Condition of Returned Goods

Returned Evac Chairs must:

  • Be unused and in a re-sellable condition

  • Be returned in their original product packaging

  • Be securely packed within suitable outer packaging

Returns will not be accepted where product boxes are damaged, defaced, or used as outer packaging, or where courier labels have been attached directly to the original product packaging.

Products that show signs of use, installation, or deployment will not be eligible for a refund.

If goods are returned in a condition that is incomplete, damaged, or unsuitable for resale, we reserve the right to reduce the refund value accordingly or refuse the refund entirely.

Return Timeframes & Refunds

  • Goods must be returned within 14 days of cancellation.

  • Once received and inspected, refunds will be processed within 14 days.

  • Refunds will be for the product price only. Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless required by law.

  • We do not normally charge a re-stocking fee, although exceptions may apply.

Large or Heavy Items

If you are unable to return a large or heavy item, please contact us to discuss collection. Where collection is arranged, the cost will be deducted from your refund. Collection services are subject to feasibility based on product type and location.

If delivery is refused at the point of delivery due to no longer requiring the goods, the return delivery cost may be deducted from the refund.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Products that are made to order, special order, or supplied to customer specification

  • Products that have been used, installed, or deployed

Business Customers

Business customers placing orders online, by telephone, or via purchase order are covered by the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1987. Returns from business customers will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be declined.


Training Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we’ll always do our best to accommodate you. To help us manage our training schedule fairly for all clients, the following cancellation terms apply to all bookings. These will be clearly communicated at the point of booking, and your acceptance of them forms part of your agreement with us.

Cancelling Your Booking

  • 7 or more days before your training date — you are entitled to a full refund.
  • Between 7 days and 48 hours before your training date — a cancellation charge of 25% of the course fee (excluding VAT) will apply. You may alternatively choose to rearrange your booking to an alternative date at no additional cost.
  • Less than 48 hours before your training date — the full course fee becomes payable and no refund will be issued.

Rescheduling Your Booking

If you need to move your training date, please contact us as early as possible. Where rescheduling is requested more than 48 hours before your course date, we will do our best to find a suitable alternative date for you.

If We Need to Cancel or Reschedule

On rare occasions, circumstances beyond our control may require us to cancel or reschedule a training session. Where this happens, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative date at no additional cost. If the alternative date is not suitable for you, a full refund will be provided. EverSafe Training Ltd shall not be liable for any additional costs or losses incurred as a result of such a cancellation or reschedulement.

A note on fairness: Cancellation charges are set to reflect the costs we incur in reserving trainer time, travel, and accommodation on your behalf. In line with UK consumer law, charges will not exceed our reasonable losses directly resulting from your cancellation.
