Evacuation Chair Training for Hospitality

Hotels, restaurants, pubs, clubs, and entertainment venues welcome large numbers of guests every day — many of whom are unfamiliar with the building, may have consumed alcohol, and could have mobility needs you’re unaware of. In the event of an emergency, your team needs to act quickly, calmly, and effectively.

EverSafe delivers evacuation training specifically designed for the hospitality sector, helping your front-of-house teams, managers, and duty managers respond with confidence when it counts.

Why Hospitality Settings Need Specialist Training

Specialised evacuation skills

Guests are unfamiliar with the building layout and evacuation routes

  • High-occupancy venues during busy periods require well-practised, coordinated responses
  • Hotels have sleeping guests who may need to be woken and assisted during a night-time emergency
  • Venues serving alcohol must account for guests whose reactions and mobility may be impaired
  • Multi-storey hotels must safely evacuate guests with disabilities, including those with mobility aids or in wheelchairs
  • Licensing and fire safety regulations require documented emergency procedures and trained staff

Relevant Equipment We Supply

We supply evacuation chairs and equipment for hotels and venues of all sizes. We can advise on placement, quantity, and the right products for your specific building layout and guest profile.

Example

Four Star Hotel Group

A four-star hotel group with properties across the North of England asked EverSafe to review and update the evacuation training across all six sites. Each hotel had evacuation chairs in place but staff had never been formally trained to use them. We ran Evacuation Chair operator training sessions at each property, updated their emergency evacuation plans, and created a simple, laminated quick-reference guide for duty managers. The group’s health and safety director described the training as “essential” and rolled it out to all new staff as part of their induction programme.
