1. Equipment — returns and refunds

1.1 Standard return window

You may return any stocked evacuation equipment within 30 days of the delivery date, provided the items are returned in their original, unused condition with all packaging, labels, and documentation intact. Equipment that has been deployed, installed, or used in any way cannot be accepted for return under this provision.

1.2 Condition requirements

To be eligible for a full refund, returned items must:

  • Be in original, unopened or re-sealable packaging
  • Carry all original labels, tags, and manufacturer documentation
  • Show no signs of use, installation, or modification
  • Be accompanied by your original order confirmation or delivery note

1.3 Items that cannot be returned

The following are excluded from our standard returns policy:

  • Equipment that has been used, deployed, or installed in a building
  • Custom or special-order items ordered to specification
  • Items returned after the 30-day window without prior written agreement
  • Items returned without prior authorisation from our team
  • Consumable components (e.g. harness assemblies supplied separately) once the packaging has been opened

Business-to-business purchases are governed by the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982. Consumer purchases additionally benefit from the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and, for distance or online purchases, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

1.4 Faulty or damaged equipment

If equipment arrives damaged or develops a fault, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery for transit damage, or within a reasonable period of discovering a fault. We will arrange collection at no cost to you and provide either a replacement or full refund at your discretion. This does not affect your statutory rights.

1.5 How to initiate a return

All returns require prior authorisation. Contact our team before sending any items back — unauthorised returns cannot be processed and may be returned to sender at your cost. Once authorised, we will provide a returns reference number and shipping instructions.

Refunds for authorised returns are processed within 5–10 working days of receiving the returned goods and confirming their condition. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

2. Training courses — cancellations and transfers

Training bookings involve the reservation of instructor time and venue resource. Our cancellation terms reflect the costs incurred in preparing for confirmed bookings.

  • More than 14 working days’ notice

Full refund, or free transfer to an alternative date.

  • 7–14 working days’ notice

50% refund, or free transfer to an alternative date.

  • Less than 7 working days’ notice

No refund. Transfer available subject to availability and an administration fee.

  • Non-attendance (no notice given)

Full course fee forfeited. No transfer available.

2.1 Delegate substitutions

You may substitute a delegate at any time prior to the course start date at no charge, provided you notify us in writing with the replacement delegate’s name and contact details.

2.2 Cancellation by EverSafe Training

In the event that we are required to cancel a training course — due to instructor illness, insufficient numbers, or circumstances beyond our control — you will be offered a full refund or a free transfer to an alternative date. We will provide as much notice as possible in such circumstances.

2.3 On-site training

For on-site training delivered at your premises, the same cancellation tiers apply. If a session cannot proceed due to access issues or circumstances within your control on the day, the full session fee will be payable.

3. Consumer rights — distance selling

If you are a consumer (purchasing for personal, non-business use) and have placed your order online or by telephone, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 provide a statutory 14-day cooling-off period from the date of delivery. To exercise this right you must notify us within 14 days of receipt. You are responsible for the cost of return postage unless the item is faulty.

Note: the cooling-off right does not apply to training services once the course has commenced, or where you have expressly requested the service to begin within the cancellation period.

4. Exchanges

We are happy to exchange equipment for an alternative model or specification within the 30-day window, subject to availability and the return condition requirements above. Where the replacement item carries a higher value, the difference will be charged. Where it carries a lower value, the difference will be refunded.

5. Disputes and escalation

We aim to resolve all returns and refund queries promptly. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may refer the matter to an appropriate Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) body. Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy.
